This week marks the end of Term 2. I would like to commend our students and staff on an exceptional effort with teaching and learning over the first semester. I would like to wish our school community a safe school holiday period and I trust our entire school community has the opportunity to refresh, relax and recharge. 

Term 3 will commence on Monday 14th July. We look forward to seeing everybody back after the holidays!  

Semester One Reporting 

Report cards have been emailed home earlier this week. If you do not receive your child’s report card, thank you for contacting the school so we can rectify the issue. On balanced judgments have been made from teaching and learning across Term 1 and 2 with evidence taken from independent assessment items. If you did not receive a report in your email, please make sure you check you junk inbox or contact the school.  

Year 6 Camp 

The Year 6 students will be returning to Rockhampton on the end of their camp this Friday 27th June and are anticipated to arrive at approximately 7pm tonight at the Rockhampton train station. Facebook will be updated with frequent information about our return. Thank you to staff and students for a fabulous week. I have personally, thoroughly enjoyed my time with our Year 6 students experiencing everything this amazing camp had to offer.  

School Watch 

Over this holiday period we thank you for your help in keeping our school safe. Please report any suspicious behaviour on school grounds directly to School Watch on 13 17 88. 

Athletics Carnival: 

Thank you to everybody who came along to support students during the whole school athletics carnival. Congratulations to Steven house for winning the overall competition for the first time in 18 years. Wilkinson girls won the overall most points trophy and the Steven boys took out the boys’ trophy. 

PBL Celebration: 

Congratulations to our PBL team on another successful end of term Positive Behaviour for Learning celebration day. This term had a circus spectacular with many circus themed activities. The gold award was a disco highlighted by a pizza lunch provided by the school. This was received well by our students.  

Students need to continue to collect Berserker bucks for following school expectations ready for next term. 

Illness and absences 

We have recently seen a spike in absences with illness impacting our school community. We trust many families will be returning for Term 3 healthier with the upcoming break a chance to refresh and recharge. Our school also has access to bulk-billed medical appointments with our school-based health practitioner Kerinda, every Monday to support with illness that maybe impacting your family.  

100 Days of Prep 

Early Term 3 we will celebrate the milestone of our Prep students completing their first 100 days of school. This event will be held on Friday 18th July.
